My Current Everyday Face

Hello today I am going to show you what I am currently wearing as my everyday face there is a mix of  drugstore products as well as higher end .

This is quick routine but looks polished and put together so let crack on with this post . I mix my younique mineral touch foundation with my rimmel match perfection foundation this gives the correct colour and also gives a nice long lasting finish .  I use my seventeen stay time concealer under my eyes and set with the stay matte powder . On my eyes I use a benefit creaseless cream shadow in the colour no pressure this is dark bronze colour . I then apply two coats of the acti labs skyscraper mascara . Then fill in my brows with a makeup revolution brow pencil I have been using this product for a while and by far my favourite .

I then come back and finish off my base makeup so I use the bronzer from sleek face form palette for contour my face .  I use the pink sparkly blush in the sleek eye and cheek palette called dancing till dusk I found this the pound shop bargain !  I then back to the sleek face form palette for my highlight I just dust this on the tops of my cheek bone . I haven't pictured a lipstick because it varies my favourites are honey love mac ,velvet teddy mac or a red lip if I am going out my two favourite reds are vian(younique) and mac brave red . St Tropez Everyday Gradual Tan

Hello, Today I have tanning post not something I ever spoke on the blog as I have always been a fan of embrace the pale but this gradual tan has changed all that !

So I have had this product for nearly two months and I have in shade medium /dark . This product claims to give you an even streak free natural glow that will hydrate skin for up to 48 hours ! I use this product two to three a week.

It really easy to use but I would say to get a good coverage and it doesn't streak ! The best way I find to use this product is to apply a thick layer at night and then in the morning apply another layer . This way  I find gives you the most even tan . It will last you a couple of day then as well and there is less chance of streaking . I love this product and will definitely be repurchasing it may be £14.99 but to me its worth every penny . They do one for the face which I will definitely be trying soon as has heard really good things and if as good as this product definitely a winner !

Current Favourite Lip Combo !

Hello , I have another makeup post for you today on my favourite lip combo at the moment .  I know two within a week of each other really spoiling you ! No I am trying to get back into the blog any way let crack on !

So this a mixture of colours but it is very spring summer appropriate and would like great with a tan or if your still pale like me ! So it mix of pinks and corals as you will see from the swatch below .

So I have eastend snob lip liner all over my lips I wear lip liner under most things because I don't have a very defined lips so this really help give my lips shape and definition. Over the top of that I have the rimmel kate moss in shade 38 which on me is a pinky coral . Then over the top I have younique lip gloss in the shade loveable this just gives your lips dimension I find . So this is a short but sweet post Hope you enjoyed !

P.s love highlighter crayon

Hello, today I am back with a product review yes I am going talk makeup its been a while I know so let crack on .

So this is from the p.s love range by primark I picked this up a while ago but it got buried in all my other makeup and I haven't got round to using it till now . So it is a highlighter crayon these can be very useful for highlighting your inner corners , cupids and brow bone  So is it any good I hear  you ask ? 

Well to be honest it ok it the not the worst its not the best ! I think the thing that lets this product down is the  texture . Let me explain it has a very stiff chalky texture which makes it very hard to bend out and nobody wants to see just a line of white somewhere on there face now do they  ?

I have been using this on my brow bone to highlight my arch but I have found i have had to use just little bit of concealer just to bend the edges and make it look more natural . The colour of the crayon is great a nice pearlescent champagne type colour . It just the blending factor that lets it down I think you would have use this before your foundation sets so the creaminess of the foundation helps to blend it. So those our my thoughts great product just doesn't blend well but the price it's better than you think I think was around £2 but dont qoute on me it been a long time since I purchased it .

My Prefect Red Lip !

Hey guys I know we will be going in spring soon although you wouldn't know it by the weather However I thought I would share my perfect red lip combo so lets crack on!

I am going to be honest since going blonde I have loved the freedom of being able to play with my make up because I am not so limited as I was with red hair . But find I red lipstick that doesn't make you look like a clown is hell of lot easier any way enough babbling let me tell you about this red lip.

It consists of a primark lip liner in red it doesn't have a number or shade name but it has a slightly orangey undertone . So I line my lips with this because I red lip look so much better with a crisp lip line. Over that I then put the younique lipstick in vain I lived in this over the festive season as it is just the prefect red for me this has slightly pink undertone . The two together look amazing and the younique lipstick already had shine to it so no need for gloss.

Primark Foundation Review

Hey guys so today I am going to be telling you my thoughts on the primark foundation.I have been  using this for over month so I think I can give you a well rounded review on this product .

So let me let you a bit about this foundation it is a oil free formula and has vitamin e with in it . It is a medium coverage and is a semi matte finish .Is any of this true you ask. Well I can believe it is enriched with vitamin e as it moisturising on the skin when you first put it on  but then as the day goes on it dries out and you have to spray with a setting spray to bring it back to life if that makes sense.  Semi matt is the way I would describe this foundation as it has a very natural finish to it but it doesn't look flat on the skin there is a little bit of glow going on .


Coverage wise I would say it s buildable but I  would say it is light to medium coverage as it is not very thick texture it is quite thin and runny . However I think thats what makes it semi matt because it not just thick foundation that looks cakey and flat on the skin it has that natural subtle glow to it . I actually like that is a squeezable tube and not pump I think you have more control this way some of you may disagree plus my pumps always stop working.


So who would this be good for I think this is generally this is an all rounder foundation unless you have very dry skin because then it is just going to cling to all your dry bits . I think if your oily it going to be great I am combination normal to dry and it works great on me . For £2 I think is it an awesome little foundation and great for beginners as it is really easy to worth it .It goes on easily  with fingers ,sponge or brush very versatile its that good I have been reaching for this over my dior. The colour is good match on me but I dont know if it  would be for everyone as there is only three shades light, meduim, dark. Hope you all enjoyed this post and found it helpful .

3D Mascara Review

Hey guys so today I have review you of a mascara I have been using recently and tell if it actually does as it says .

What is this product it is a two step mascara one is a gel and the other part of it is the fibres . You put the gel on you lashes first and the follow with fibres and then another coat of gel . It is meant to give a 3D effect to lashes like false lashes would .So does it do what it says on the tin you ask ?

So on the left ad you look at is the 3D mascara on the other eye I  have nothing and you can see the difference it makes. I have done a video demo showing you this product in more detail so I would recommend you go watch that I will link it here. Conclusion guys this is great product it lasts well and doesn't flake it gives you the look of false lashes with out the hassel . In my opinion this is well worth the £23 I would rather do  a two step mascara than fiddle with false lashes for ages that with in few hours will no doubt start coming off . NOTD: Primark False Nails

Hey guys so today is a NOTD I dont think I have ever done one of these but I heard so much about primark's false nails I have to try them for my self .

So I have the pink butterfly nails on today I have naturally long nails so I wouldn't normally wear falsies . However I broke one of my nails very far down so chopped them all off and got my sister to put theses on for me . I used the glue provided and I have to say they feel very study and not like the could pop off at any minute.The design is very pretty and perfect for summer I will miss theses summer colours once September comes and fall set in . Now the bit you all dying to know and having been sitting at you computers saying yes Emma they look very pretty but do they last ?

Well as you read this blog post it been a week since they have been a applied and they popped of on the second day so all in all I would say is there great for a night out or special occasions. If you want something that lasts a bit longer then I would recommend getting the done professionally . They are great fun if you want if you some funky nails for night but any longer and they will pop off here there and everywhere .

M.A.C Honeylove Lipstick

Hey guys so today I am going be sharing with the lipstick I have been wearing since I brought it M.A.C Honeylove. Now I think this lipstick is one of those you either going to love it or hate it I love it but may not be for you so let crack on.

So I had heard alot about this lipstick all over the blogging world and there was a lot of mixed views but I saw on some with my kind of skin tone and fell in love with it . So it is a matt finish it therefore quite drying on the lips but the colour is just aww.

Its sort of the perfect in between of a cool and warm toned nude I always put a little gloss over it so  don't look like a crops. if you have really pale skin it may be little to cool for you can as  you can see it swatches paler on the lip then on my arm . Although a matte it is still has quite a creamy feel on the lips if you have really dry lips that would be the most unforgiving lipstick in the world .

This has quickly become one of my favourite lipsticks and is always in my hand bag  .I have also brought three lipsticks in a week from mac so I may have some more posts for you soon. As I said at the start this is on you are either going to love or hate leave me your thoughts below . I love it and it is now my everyday nude I might do a blog post on my currently everyday lip sticks.

Collection Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer

Hey guys so I didn't actually realise I had not reviewed this for you this is a new one I have just brought but I got this ages ago .When it all that and cats pjs in the blogging world and found in my stash recently when clearing out my make up and starting using it again. so let crack on 

So this concealer claims to "help conceal dark circles and blemishes . Light diffusing particles naturally illuminate eyes."  Now I will say that it definitely helps conceal dark circles but I think this is because of the pinkish under tone it has that helps cancel out the blueishness under your eyes does that make sense. Now it has one of those brush applicators but I always cut them off as I feel they steal a lot of product and aren't very good in all honesty.  

In formula it is very light and bendable but it does deliver a good coverage with out caking or falling in to creases . However you have to be fairly quick to set it other wise it does crease but that is the same with any concealer I have found . I use my beauty blender to blend this out as I find this works the best for me . The shade I have is naked 1 but it comes in 3 shades so there should be one there to suit most people skin tones . I would not use this on blemish purely for is illuminating properties as I think most of use wont to hide are spot not illuminate them . 

Over all this a really good affordable under eye concealer that will suit most budgets at only £4.99 and is available at boots and superdrug . Collection is one of those brands I think get forgotten about in the make up world and they do have some really good products so are worth have look at next time you out shopping .

Hey guys so today I am going to give you my thoughts on the ombre blackstar shadow sticks I have purchased two of these.

One I love  the other I am still not sure about so let me tell what I think are thy worth your money should you purchase them. I have two shades frozen quartz and beyond gold ,the frozen quartz I use this most times when I wear make up .

The great thing as about this product is that they  apply beautifully like butter  and the shade range is good as you would expect from a high end brand . They are bendable and they layer well with powder shadows which is not always a given with cream shadows . I like the frozen quartz  because it applies evenly and last all day .

The gold one however does not seem to do this and I am not sure why its seems to go patchy for some reason. This is the only reason I am undecided if I would buy more because it makes me question if the line is hit and miss. As you can see from above when swatched applies the same as the other but on the lids it doesn't . Has any one else had this problem if they were all as good as frozen quartz I would buy  more with out a doubt .

So if  you want one I would suggest the frozen quartz shade the gold I would stay clear of . The one last thing I will say is the packaging is lovely so classic looking . Let me know your thoughts on these below . They are available at space NK and on very exclusive website  they are £29 each .

Sudocrem Skin Care Cream

Hey guys so today I am going to be  reviewing a new sudocrem product on the market its only £1.99 and can be used for many different things so let crack on .

So this product claims to be a beauty cream that is meant to maintain healthy skin as part of your daily routine. It is meant to be suitable for everyone and great on spot prone skin. So how can you use this product well you can use as a spot treatment ,face mask ,moisturiser  and  to soothe irritated skin such as rashes and dry patches .  The other selling point to this product is that it is meant to be the handy handbag sized tube that you can keep it pretty much any where . 

My biggest bug bear with this product and it was from the moment I opened it is the thickness now I get that sudocrem has always been thick but this is so thick it difficult to get out of the tube . You have to squeeze really hard because the product is so thick and stiff . I even looked up the ingredients of normal sudocrem to see if there was any difference but there is . Is it just me or when something is marketed as beauty cream would you not expect it to be thinner.  

Any way so I have used this as a face mask I wasn't very impressed to be honest if anything my skin was drier . I have used this as spot treatment this totally works as it drys out the spot and helps it clear I have heard about sudocrem for spots before but I can recommend it for this . I used this on an eczema patch on my shoulder and it has helped this . I think if your mummy your going to love this product so much for kids dry elbows cuts and sunburn super handy . 

Overall I think if you are already a lover of sudocrem you going to love this if you are teen looking for a cheap spot treatment right up your street . For me  I will use it for the odd spot and really bad eczema patches. It is also really good on burns, burnt my face on curling iron and it soothed it lovely  . This product is a available at boots and its £1.99 for 30 grams so super affordable.

Beauty Tuesday : Maybelline sensational mascara

Hey guys I am sorry I have been gone for a week but all will be explained in tittle tattle thursday so keep your eyes peeled for . So let crack on with todays post 

So today I am going to talk to you about a new mascara I have been trying out and has been all over blogs and you tube . It is the new Maybelline mascara which is the lash sensational  lash multiplying mascara . Now this mascara claims to give the look of layers and layers of lashes to give the look of lots of volume. This I can say I can happily say it does this is makes you look like have lost of lashes and lots of volume. 

Now the brush it has a very strange looking wand and not something I would normal use but it does work. so the brush as one side that has shorted bristle and side that has longer bristles and the point of this is to try and grab even the smallest of lashes to give you that volume .  The wand is a plastic wand not a natural bristle brush. 

The formula claims that is has a low wax count so this is meant help make the lashes look more defined and not clumpy. I don't find it to this I just find it to make the formula very wet which on my hooded eyes causes it smudge on to my socket bone on good . So I have go over this mascara I have wear a waterproof one to prevent this . 

So overall would I repurchase this mascara yes I would I buy this over my colossal volume for the main reason of it does clump as easy . The only thing is I wish they would bring out a waterproof version to prevent the smudging and because it helps with holding a curl especially in my lashes. Make up Monday: Maybelline Colour Elixir

Hey guys so I am here with yet another make up monday if you have any requests for these then please let me know anyway lets crack on .

So I am not sure how long these have been out here the uk but ever since I knew about this product I have wanted it . So these are meant to be a three way hybrid between a lipstick , lip balm and gloss so lot to achieve there . They are meant to have the pigment of lipstick the moisture of balm and the high finish of gloss.

So the shade I have here on my leg because it was the only way I could get a half decent picture lol is the shade blush essence . The thing I like most about this product is the fact it is not sticky at all I hate lip gloss because of the stickiness. This is so comfortable to wear on the lips not drying or stick just nice and moisturising .

The pigmentation is not quite there but it does layer nicely to get the colour there is about three coats on this swatch . However this is some thing I would layer over a lipstick not wear along but that is merely preference . The gloss and balm is definitely there it give a really nice shine to the lips as well as being very moisturising and comfortable to wear as I said before .

Overall I really love this product and would recommend it especially if you not great fan of gloss because of the sickness factor this is a great option to still get that shine .

Beauty Tuesday: Rimmel match perfection foundation

Hey so it been four days since I have been on here and was not the intention I was going to post on Friday but couldn't find part of my tripod. The past few days  have just been mad and I want to do a give away I have the stuff just not sure how to any ideas would be great. so lets crack on.

I have been that busy blabbering I haven't actually told you what I am going to be talking to you about in this post. I am going review the rimmel match perfection foundation this is currently one of the only drugstore foundations I own has I had a massive clear out as some had gone  funny .

This is currently the one I am reaching for every time I wear make up and the reason for this is because it  has such as nice natural light reflecting finish. I like to use my fingers to apply this with and this is for couple of reasons . One is because I think you get the best finish and two because I think it is easier to build this way. It is quite light is consistency but it is not overly runny and it reacts well to the heat of your finger tips it all most becomes thicker/stiffer.

The only con to product is that for me like most drugstore foundations it is just tad too yellow toned but then let remember I am practically a ghost. As long as blend it well and down my neck it is all good to go and for the price I cant complain as it is amazing product although I think I am late to this party. But hey not all about to trying the new releases in this world there are lots of oldies but goodies to be found. this foundation is £7.99 and available at superdrug and boots.

Make Up Monday: Make Up Revolution Ultra Blush Palette Golden Sugar

Hey guys so I did a make up rev haul (link) when I attempted to do blogmas but the less said about that the better . One of the items I mentioned was the golden sugar blush pallet and that is what I am going to review for you today see everyone as had there say.

So lets start off with what is in the palette you get a baked bronzer , two normal bronzers one matt one not. You then have 3 merged blushed and two merged baked highlights. You get all this for the grand total of £6 yes £6 and I have to say the quality it great . The plastic packaging is sturdy I should know I have dropped it enough times and bonus you get huge mirror so great for travel. 

So now let get deeper in what I think about it the pigmentation is amazing for 6 pounds but it is also multifunctional . I will explain not only can you use it for you face I have also used some of the baked products for eye shadow which is why it would make such a great product for travel. The matt bronzer I use daily and has replaced my benefit hoola as I find an can get a more defined contour with this. The highlights and blushes give you so many options that I haven't had to touch my any of my other check products.

Overall I think it is a amazing product for the price and its you get the quality of high end with out the price tag great for people new to make up . I think everyone needs this palette and it has become a staple in my make up bag . If  you are thinking  of getting this I would highly recommend you do  and I will leave a link here it make up rev is also available in superdrug stores  . They do other blush palettes in other shades  if this one is  maybe not for you.

Blogmas day 3 :Benefit Bigger Than BB Big Easy

Hey guys so today I am here with a review yes I know I don't do these very often but this is the base I have been using every time I wear make up so I figured it deserved a space on the blog.

So this product was a very hit here on the blogosphere in the  summer but as usual I am late on the band wagon because I don't like to give in to the hype. Now for some people it is all about the base but for me  I will quite happy skip foundation and it doesn't bother me. So what is so different about this one that I am currently reaching for it so much.

First things first let me tell you a little bit about this product it is a cream to powder finish so I dont have powder this . It has a bigger shade range than most BB creams there are 6 in the range when there are normally just 3. I am the shade light which is the second lightest the lightest was too light ! that never happens but I am not sure what the darker shades are like so if you are not ghost like me you might struggle.

Why do I like the product enough to review it ? Well it gives a very natural finish it is build able has a nice consistency it doesn't stick to my dry patches either. Consistency wise it is not super runny like I have found with some BB creams but it not super stiff it is lovely medium. If you want more coverage you can build it with out it caking but it will still look natural which is great . My only bug bare with this product it that for me it is tad too yellow toned I find but that is the only con I find with it .

Other than I can say it is completely worth money and the hype surrounding it and I would be the first to tell you if it wasn't  you should all know that by now . It is pricey at £27.50 but it worth and you can find it at boots, online or at your local benefit bar .

Morning Skincare

Hey guys so a few weeksI did my night time routine so I decide today I would do my morning routine which is more extensive.  

So the first step for me is to wash my face as I don't do this at night so use the Neutrogena pink grapefruit cream wash as it smells nice and is very refreshing in a morning . I use a flannel to do this with as I find these better than muslin clothes put it person preference I suppose .

Then I apply my body shop vitamin E moisture serum to my face then apply my nivea day cream on top . Then use the gel part of my Avon clinical renew eye guys to de puff my eyes and make me look more awake. so a bit more though than my evening put in a way less steps if you missed that post I will link here and I will see you on Friday for Halloween related fotd.

Dior star foundation

Hey guys  so welcome back to make up Monday if you want to know where I have been look at this post here so lets crack on .

So this is foundation I have been using everyday recently just because it lasts the best and gives the nicest finish.  The Doir star foundation is something that has had a lot  of hype and when I first tired I didn't get put once  brought it home and had a play with I have learnt to love it. it is expensive at £32 but assure you it is worth it .

So I will start with the consistency it is not thick it is quite runny I apply this with beauty blender total convert post soon. it gives a medium coverage and blends in to the skin so naturally and gives a lovely lit with in look. I do think you could build up the coverage of this foundation but as for powder you need something very light and finely milled other wise you loose the finish and it look a bit powdery.

So that it for today's post I hope you enjoyed and I would recommend this foundation but not oily skin as it is not the best at oil control . But for dry skin and glow lovers it is a definitely thumbs up I will see you on Wednesday  .

MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation

Hey you know in my last make up Monday post I said I thought the max factor foundation was going to be more like another foundation I was using .Well this was the one I was on about it is the mac mineralize moisture foundation.  

This foundation is by far one of the dewiest foundation  have ever used it so dewy  I have to powder it down a bit so I don't look like an oil slick that's saying something on my dry skin. I found out about this foundation on you tube it was mentioned by gabby or the velvet ghost. so I figured I would give it a go seeing as I am always on the hunt for so glow in my foundations.

This is  high end so do understand that the max factor one was never going be exactly like this but I expected something along the same lines in finish at least. This has one of the strangest consistences I have used when it comes to foundation it comes out and seems really thin and runny then you leave it on your hand and goes form being quite runny to being stiffer almost thicker it weird.

I find the best way to apply this is with a traditional foundation brush or your fingers a buffing brush just doesn't worth with this but I don't if that is because of the strange consistency . It is £28 which is expensive but the finish and the fact it lasts all day makes it totally worth it .
