Tips To Stop Foundation Streaking

Hey guys we all have those days  were are foundation just wont go on  right well today I am going to tell some of tips so help you.

1. Make sure skin prepared there is no point trying to put foundation on if you haven't done your skincare  it just wont work . Your skin will not be clean which may mean you have  oils on your skin left over from products that may break down the foundation. Also you skin will be dry which means that skin may just absorb some of the product if you have really dry skin you will know of this problem. 

2. Make sure you allow all your skincare to skin in before applying you make up for tow reasons  one you will get the most from you skin care and therefore you will a better base to work with . Two because as said previously if you still have moisturiser sitting on you skin this may interfere with the foundation cause it to streak or breakdown 

 3. The other thing that helps stop streaking is tools make your you brushes are clean a dirty brush full of old foundation is going to apply you foundation different to clean one . A brush filled with foundation will streak because some bristle will be stuck together changing the movement of the brush and density. Second  are you using the right thing to apply your foundation I know this sound like dumb question but every foundation is different they all have different textures consistencies   ect . Would you wear the same bra with every style of top would you ? 

4. If your foundation is still streaking or not sitting right after all this tips is could be that it is not suited to your skin type . If trying to be glowy foundation on oily skin the chances are you are going to look like an oil slick . A matt foundation on dry skin it going to look cakey so think about your skin type and the type of foundation that is going to suit it.

Valentines Day Make Up Look #1 : Pink Soft and Sexy

Hey guy so I am here to day with a bonus blog post I asked on twitter the other day if you would like two valentines make up looks this week and the response was good so this is the first one.

So for my base I decided to use mac mineralize moisture foundation I  am NC 15. As I wanted a really dewy  look as always putting my porefessional primer underneath  it . I used my usual concealer the seventeen stay time under my eyes as well as using  my usual mascara the colossal volume on my lashes  . 

Now I am staying with eyes as this is how I did because the foundation takes a while to set. So I used the maybelline colour tattoo in pink gold on my eyes then blended the edges with a  soft brown shadow or you could use your bronzer . While I was there I also filled in my brows with the  make up revolution ultra brow arch and shape pencil.

After this I went back to the face and powdered with my revlon naked powder and then set it all with my MUA setting spray . I wanted this look to last as there is nothing worse than having make up you feel the need to babysit all the time . For blush I used my sleek pumpkin blush palette and middle blush called squash with a duo fibre face brush. As it is super pigmented and swept that across the checks for a pink glow.  

For lips I used the revlon matt balm in elusive as it is very long lasting and an Avon lip gloss in pink provocateur . As I wanted go for quite a juicy kissable lip I suppose I also used individual lashes to give me be a bit of extra flutter but cant really see in the photo so it up to you . Beauty Tuesday: Rimmel match perfection foundation

Hey so it been four days since I have been on here and was not the intention I was going to post on Friday but couldn't find part of my tripod. The past few days  have just been mad and I want to do a give away I have the stuff just not sure how to any ideas would be great. so lets crack on.

I have been that busy blabbering I haven't actually told you what I am going to be talking to you about in this post. I am going review the rimmel match perfection foundation this is currently one of the only drugstore foundations I own has I had a massive clear out as some had gone  funny .

This is currently the one I am reaching for every time I wear make up and the reason for this is because it  has such as nice natural light reflecting finish. I like to use my fingers to apply this with and this is for couple of reasons . One is because I think you get the best finish and two because I think it is easier to build this way. It is quite light is consistency but it is not overly runny and it reacts well to the heat of your finger tips it all most becomes thicker/stiffer.

The only con to product is that for me like most drugstore foundations it is just tad too yellow toned but then let remember I am practically a ghost. As long as blend it well and down my neck it is all good to go and for the price I cant complain as it is amazing product although I think I am late to this party. But hey not all about to trying the new releases in this world there are lots of oldies but goodies to be found. this foundation is £7.99 and available at superdrug and boots.

Blogmas day 3 :Benefit Bigger Than BB Big Easy

Hey guys so today I am here with a review yes I know I don't do these very often but this is the base I have been using every time I wear make up so I figured it deserved a space on the blog.

So this product was a very hit here on the blogosphere in the  summer but as usual I am late on the band wagon because I don't like to give in to the hype. Now for some people it is all about the base but for me  I will quite happy skip foundation and it doesn't bother me. So what is so different about this one that I am currently reaching for it so much.

First things first let me tell you a little bit about this product it is a cream to powder finish so I dont have powder this . It has a bigger shade range than most BB creams there are 6 in the range when there are normally just 3. I am the shade light which is the second lightest the lightest was too light ! that never happens but I am not sure what the darker shades are like so if you are not ghost like me you might struggle.

Why do I like the product enough to review it ? Well it gives a very natural finish it is build able has a nice consistency it doesn't stick to my dry patches either. Consistency wise it is not super runny like I have found with some BB creams but it not super stiff it is lovely medium. If you want more coverage you can build it with out it caking but it will still look natural which is great . My only bug bare with this product it that for me it is tad too yellow toned I find but that is the only con I find with it .

Other than I can say it is completely worth money and the hype surrounding it and I would be the first to tell you if it wasn't  you should all know that by now . It is pricey at £27.50 but it worth and you can find it at boots, online or at your local benefit bar .

Dior star foundation

Hey guys  so welcome back to make up Monday if you want to know where I have been look at this post here so lets crack on .

So this is foundation I have been using everyday recently just because it lasts the best and gives the nicest finish.  The Doir star foundation is something that has had a lot  of hype and when I first tired I didn't get put once  brought it home and had a play with I have learnt to love it. it is expensive at £32 but assure you it is worth it .

So I will start with the consistency it is not thick it is quite runny I apply this with beauty blender total convert post soon. it gives a medium coverage and blends in to the skin so naturally and gives a lovely lit with in look. I do think you could build up the coverage of this foundation but as for powder you need something very light and finely milled other wise you loose the finish and it look a bit powdery.

So that it for today's post I hope you enjoyed and I would recommend this foundation but not oily skin as it is not the best at oil control . But for dry skin and glow lovers it is a definitely thumbs up I will see you on Wednesday  .

MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation

Hey you know in my last make up Monday post I said I thought the max factor foundation was going to be more like another foundation I was using .Well this was the one I was on about it is the mac mineralize moisture foundation.  

This foundation is by far one of the dewiest foundation  have ever used it so dewy  I have to powder it down a bit so I don't look like an oil slick that's saying something on my dry skin. I found out about this foundation on you tube it was mentioned by gabby or the velvet ghost. so I figured I would give it a go seeing as I am always on the hunt for so glow in my foundations.

This is  high end so do understand that the max factor one was never going be exactly like this but I expected something along the same lines in finish at least. This has one of the strangest consistences I have used when it comes to foundation it comes out and seems really thin and runny then you leave it on your hand and goes form being quite runny to being stiffer almost thicker it weird.

I find the best way to apply this is with a traditional foundation brush or your fingers a buffing brush just doesn't worth with this but I don't if that is because of the strange consistency . It is £28 which is expensive but the finish and the fact it lasts all day makes it totally worth it .

Weekend FOTD: sick day

Hey guys so I have been ill for the past few days and today I am gong back to work and although I still sound ill I want to look healthy so this is the look I have gone for. 

sorry this picture is not the best I tried to fix it as much as possible 

So I have gone for glow and awakeness in this look I used my normal primer benefit porefessional  then I used the doir skin star foundation review coming soon  and blended that in with the beauty blend review coming soon. I used my seventeen stay time concealer under my eyes and any where else I need coverage. My next step was powder and for this a used the sleek luminous powder in translucent as I didn't want to loose the finish of the foundation. 

Then I curled my lashes applied the colossal volume mascara then used my super shock black liner to line my upper water line and used a nude liner to line my bottom water line . Then I used the maybelline colour tattoo in pink gold to add some more light to the eyes . I filed my eye brows in the mua power brow pencil . 

Now to finish my face I bronzed and lightly contoured with benefit hoola bronzer then add squash blush from sleek to my checks to give me a bit of health pink glow . Then finished the look off with mac please me lipstick gently patted in to my lips with a little bit of carmex lip balm over the top to give  little bit of shine.

Maxfactor Skin Luminzer Foundation

Hey guys so as you all know I am sucker for dewy foundations so when this on came on the scene I had to give it ago so lets crack on .

I have love hate relationship with maxfactor some things I love some things I hate this I dunno what I think . As you all know I love maxfactors cream blush blushes but I have there mascaras I had there foundations in the past but have quickly gone off them. So this product is meant enhance  what you already have not hide it it and may to leave skin with that lit from with in look with light reflecting particles . It is also meant to be hydrating and it claims to have medium finish so let take a look.

The plan was to put a picture of me with half my face with the foundation and the other with out but it didn't come out very well and you cant really see the difference . So instead I am going to try and explain to you. It covers redness well but I don't think it particularly gives you that lit from with in look . I would say it more light coverage that medium but it is buildable. 

I  prefer to apply this with my finger tips as I find this give you the best coverage I do like this foundation how ever there is another foundation that I will talk about next weeks make up post that I like more . just because I think it gives a dewier finish than this . its a foundation its light coverage but I wouldn't  say it is luminising that just my opinion. I think I am going to try and use this in a video so you will be able to see what it looks like. 

I think if your on a budget and want a light coverage foundation then this is great if you look for dewy there are other drugstore foundations that do this better . It is just a but meh for me its not bad it just didn't impress me .
